Prof. Dr. Frank-Michael Matsyik was honored by the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and nominated to be the Fresenius Lecturer for 2016 and 2017. He is sharing this honor with Prof. Dr. Zimmermann from the University of Rostock.
The Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation awarded a Georg-Foster Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers to Dr. Nongnoot Wongkaew from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand. Dr. Wongkaew will join the Institute of Analytical Chemistry, Chemo- and Biosensors July 2014 to investigate the development of nanofiber-based electrochemical microfluidic biosensors for pathogen detection under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Antje Baeumner. The Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation awards up to 80 Georg-Foster Research Fellowships per year in all areas of the sciences.
Stefanie Kirschbaum received the 1st prize in the category “oral presentation” at the interdisciplinary Ph.D. student seminar 2014 in Berlin held by the Analytical Chemistry group of the GDCh. The award was granted for her presentation discussing the development of a novel electrochemiluminescent microfluidic biosensor involving liposome based amplification.
